GRP Fibreglass Roofs

GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), also known as Fibreglass, flat roofs are tough, flexible and long-lasting. Usually applied directly to the dry timber roof boards and surrounding edges to create a hard-wearing waterproof seal.

A resin base coat is followed by fibreglass matting, then a second resin coat seals the composite surface. A final fire retardant, heavy duty coloured topcoat (typically black or dark grey) completes the look.

Fibreglass roofs have the benefit that they are one solid application that fills the entire surface with no joins or folds, making leaks or holes less likely to occur.

GRP roofing is a very popular roofing material more commonly known as fibreglass. Suitable for all flat roof types but commonly seen on outhouses and extensions due to its durability and long-lasting properties.

GRP, or fibreglass roofing, does not have any joints or seals making it completely watertight, when the fibreglass has completely cured it offers a protective hardwearing cover.
